More than a year ago I wrote about 5 types of articles to avoid on the blog (news, awards and chains, memes of little value, translations, various reports), useless posts which for me do not offer anything to the reader or improve the blog. Today I return to the topic of posts not to be published, always talking about contents of dubious quality, but perhaps more "dangerous" than those analyzed in the other post. Why dangerous? Because they can damage the image of the blog and the blogger (especially 1 and 2), they impoverish it rather than enrich it, they make it lose the uniqueness that every blogger should have, they can undermine the credibility and trust gained over time. 1 – Recycled content It's easy to repeat yourself. Very easy. Behind one of the reasons that led me to reduce the number of posts on the blog is also to avoid the risk of repeating myself .
Yet, as soon as an article is published, I often wonder if I haven't already talked about that topic. Nobody forbids writing about a certain topic from other points of view, on the contrary, it can be useful to do so. Days ago I talked about the narrative binomial , which is basically the same topic as the fantastic binomial, but analyzes it from another perspective. However, I decided not to write other posts that came to mind because they would have been recycled content. You can tell when content is recycled: it has the Special Data same colour, the same consistency, the same flavor as something already read. I notice it when I read one and so I imagine others might notice if they read one here. How to avoid writing recycled content? Writing original content . But it's not that simple. Being truly original means always proposing something new and unexpected.
And I have something new and unexpected planned: a monumental post that I started working on exactly one year ago and which will perhaps see the light in a few days. 2 – Content written for search engines What does it mean to write for search engines ? A right definition could be to write articles in line with user searches. They are therefore texts written indirectly for readers, but aimed at bringing visits to one's blog to obtain earnings with advertisements and affiliations. Many know Aranzulla's technology blog. He is a character who has become famous on the web and his blog - which we cannot really define as such, given that there is no possibility of commenting - is one of the most read. This blog is praised by many because the blogger writes with clear and colloquial language, so as to be understood quickly by the average reader. For me, however, he writes for search engines. Just pick some items at random: IP cameras: buying guide Which IP camera to buy Which IP camera to buy Same article written 3 different ways. The cameras reviewed – with affiliate links – are the same in each of the 3 posts, except for a few models.
